Rob Kardashian is not allowing negative energy in his life.
The 38-year-old Kardashian sibling, who has primarily stayed out of the spotlight, made his return to the family’s reality show franchise on the Thursday, October 23, episode of The Kardashians — and a source said he feels pretty good about it.
“Rob loves hanging out with his family. His scenes so far on the show are light and unscripted,” a source told People following the Season 7 premiere episode. “There is no pressure on him. And he enjoys it.”
The Arthur George designer was previously seen on the family’s E! reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which aired until 2021, but mainly stepped out of the spotlight after his spin-off Rob & Chyna ended in 2016.
During an appearance on sister Khloé Kardashian’s Khloe in Wonder Land podcast, Rob — who shares daughter Dream, 8, with ex Blac Chyna — explained why he likes to keep a low profile.
“I don’t want to be filming and putting myself in a position where I’m not comfortable,” Rob told Khloé over the phone during the July 16 podcast episode. “I’m not comfortable in my skin, so why would I want to go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in when that’s not what I want to do?”

These days, Rob is feeling much better about himself. The People source said he’s at a “point in his life [where] he just doesn’t care as much what anyone thinks.”
After struggling with “body issues and self-confidence,” the “negative comments don’t bother him anymore,” the source explained, adding that he’s in a “better place.”
As for his future involvement on Hulu’s The Kardashians, the source said he “seems open to appear on the show more often.”
Fans were excited to see Rob when sister Kim Kardashian shared photos on Instagram on June 25 in honor of La La Anthony’s 43rd birthday.
In the photos, the trio smiled for the camera. “Happy Birthday to my ace @lala,” Kim captioned the selfies. “Truly the bestest best friend a girl could ask for! I love you so much!!!! Today’s your day!”
“Rob is starting to look like his early 2000 self again,” wrote one user, while another said: “Everyone just hyped Rob is in the photo.”
New episodes of The Kardashians drop Thursdays on Hulu.
