The Tulane School of Architecture and Built Environment is set to hold a symposium bringing together five women who have made outstanding contributions to the architectural community. Titled “Inspirations – Five Practices,” and taking place on October 25th at the Richardson Memorial Hall in New Orleans, the symposium was organized by Tulane Emerita Professor Carol McMichael Reese in celebration of Reese’s 26 years of service to the faculty. Reese is also the Founding Director of the Sustainable Urbanism Program at Tulane.
The one-day symposium was influenced by Tulane’s 2025/26 Lecture Series and Public Programs theme “Common Good,” which is also the title and theme of the school’s upcoming issue of The ReView book. Holding a symposium or large-scale event to honor new Emeriti Professors is also a tradition at the school.
