FARGO — The Fargo Park District will increase its rates for its five public golf courses for the 2026 season.

There will be a 4% increase in green fees at Edgewood, Rose Creek, Osgood, Prairiewood and El Zagal. Season passes for individual courses or the 5-for-1 (all five courses) will increase by 6% with senior season passes going up 4%.

The city revealed its price hikes in an email to golfers this week.

For example, in 2025, a 5-for-1 season pass was $1,000 with the expected hike to be $1,060 for 2026. A senior 5-for-1 pass for those 62 years old and older in 2025 ran $800 and will increase to a rounded $830 next season, according to figures provided by Fargo Parks.

“I think when people see those dollars are going back and being re-invested, I think more people are a little more tolerable to a rate increase,” Golf Director Rocky Papachek said on Thursday. “So that’s what we want to be, transparent through the whole process, let people see what we’re doing, let them get excited about what we’re doing.”
