A man fell at PPG Paints Arena immediately after the Pittsburgh Penguins scored their second goal in Monday’s game against the St. Louis Blues.
Pittsburgh emergency medical services personnel could be seen tending to the man, who appeared to be unconscious, a witness who was sitting in the loge section told TribLive. The man fell about 7:15 p.m., moments after Anthony Mantha scored the Pens’ second goal. He fell in front of people sitting in the loge section, the witness told TribLive.
It wasn’t immediately known where he fell from.
Play wasn’t halted after the fall and few in the arena appeared to see it happen, although some social media accounts posted about it.
This marks the second serious fan fall at a Pittsburgh sports event this year. It’s also the third fall that happened at a Pittsburgh sports venue.
On April 30, Kavan Markwood fell from the Clemente Wall in right field at PNC Park during a Pirates game.
Markwood, 20, recovered from the fall, was charged with underage drinking, then invited back to the stadium to throw out the first pitch of a game. He was later charged with stalking an ex-girlfriend, according to court papers.

On Saturday, a man working on the main scorebored at Acrisure Stadium fell about 50 feet onto a catwalk, police said.
