Latest Atlantic County road work for the week of Oct. 27.
Drivers on the Atlantic City Expressway can expect delays beginning on Monday, from 3:30 p.m., with work ending no later than 11:30 p.m., as part of the ongoing All Electronic Tolling project.
Slowdowns will begin at Toll Zone 40 eastbound and proceed east to Toll Zones 36, 29, and 14. Â Crews will then turn around and begin working westbound at Toll Zone 14 ending at Toll Zone 40.
Slowdowns will last no longer than 15 minutes, but all lanes of traffic will be slowed down at each Toll Zone. The New Jersey State Police will provide assistance.
The N.J. Department of Transportation has scheduled the following temporary closures on Route 40 in both directions Monday through Friday.
Temporary right lane closures: Franklin Boulevard in Pleasantville to the West End Avenue intersection in Atlantic City from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Temporary shoulder lane closures: Franklin Boulevard in Pleasantville to the West End Avenue intersection in Atlantic City from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.Temporary right lane closures: Jug handle A to Tilton Road intersection in Egg Harbor Township from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A single lane, alternating traffic pattern will be in effect on California Avenue in Absecon between Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township and Main Street in Pleasantville from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning Thursday through Nov. 7, weather permitting.
Motorists should follow the posted work zone signs and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route. Traffic directors will be on site to assist.
Weymouth Road will be closed between Elwood and Blueberry roads from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for bridge work.

An alternating lane traffic pattern will be in effect on Shore Road between Delaware and New York avenues from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting, for work by the city.Â
