The Red Devils have defeated the likes of Sunderland, defending Premier League champions Liverpool and Brentford in their last three outings in October alone.

United have now climbed to sixth place after nine Premier League matches and Ruben Amorim’s men are only one point outside of the top four this season.

The Red Devils were in action on the weekend and United hosted Brighton at Old Trafford, with Amorim’s side managing to overcome a late scare to seal a 4-2 win.

Bryan Mbeumo played a starring role for Manchester United against Brighton and the Red Devils summer signing netted a sensational second-half brace in the tie.

The 26-year-old French-born winger scored in the 61st minute to put United 3-0 up, following the first-half goalscoring contributions of Matheus Cunha and Casemiro.

Bryan Mbeumo added his name to the scoresheet again deep into injury time after Danny Welbeck and Charalampos Kostoulas had netted for Brighton on Saturday.

The former Brentford ace was a standout performer at Old Trafford and Mbeumo was the only United player to make Alan Shearer’s Team of the Week picks.

“This is why Man Utd were so keen to sign him,” Shearer told the Premier League’s official website.

“He was a constant threat against Brighton and produced two composed finishes.”

Bryan Mbeumo shows why he is a mentality monster with what he said after Man Utd’s win vs Brighton

Bryan Mbeumo took his goalscoring tally to five in 10 matches across all competitions since his sensational move from Brentford in the summer.

Despite his major impact in United’s win over Brighton, the Cameroon international selflessly praised the input of his whole team for their performance at Old Trafford.

“The team performance, obviously first,” Mbeumo told MUTV, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“I’m very pleased with the win today. Everyone made the effort and fight for each other and, yeah, at the end, it was a good result.

“We are working on the link-ups in training and try to replicate it on the pitch.”

Mbeumo has played and started in all nine of United’s Premier League matches in the 2025-26 campaign after the Red Devils signed him for an initial £65m fee.
