KASSON, Minn. (KTTC) – Denim and plaid was the dress code for students at Kasson-Mantorville on Tuesday.
It was Cori Kennedy Day at K-M, as the school community celebrated the alum’s current success on NBC’s The Voice.
Responding to student chats of “Go, Cori,” Kennedy said, “You guys, I’m a mess, OK?”
She posted photos of the students in their country get-up on Instagram, and said, “I’m a very lucky girl.”
Kennedy, a 2015 K-M graduate, impressed the singing show’s judges— Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan and Reba McEntire—with her blind audition performing an original song about the four talent coaches.
A couple weeks ago, Kennedy picked up her first win for Team Reba to advance in the competition.
You can watch The Voice Mondays at 7 p.m. on KTTC.
