While we wait for the first kill, let’s peer into the crystal ball and see what the weather has in store today.
Through today the skies will be cloaked in ominous clouds with haunting showers and the risk of thunderous booms, creeping eastward across the UK.
But as darkness falls and the witching hour approaches, most of those ghostly showers will vanish into the night.
But be aware – lingering rain might still haunt eastern areas of the UK from Gallows Hill, Aberdeenshire through Howl Moor, North Yorkshire and down to Pumpkin Hill, Buckinghamshire.
Elsewhere the clouds will clear revealing a moonlit sky. Perfect conditions for howling werewolves and wandering ghouls.
Hold on to your witches’ hats as the wind will still blow like a restless banshee, especially across western England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
And temperatures won’t send shivers down your spine – hovering around 11 to 15C – so you’ll stay warm enough for a midnight zombie march through the graveyard…if you dare.
