STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) announced that there will be no trash, curbside composting, or recycling collection on Nov. 4 in observance of Election Day.
The department noted that residents who normally receive Tuesday trash, curbside composting, or recycling collection should place their material at the curb on Tuesday evening for collection beginning Wednesday, Nov. 5.
“Residents should understand collection delays may occur after holidays. We appreciate patience as we work to collect the backlog of material,” DSNY stated.
Individuals can contact 311 or visit the DSNY website for questions about Sanitation services and holiday schedules.
