Sophie Cunningham starred in a new Adidas ad for Damian Lillard’s Dame X shoes, this time highlighting a fresh colorway.
The spot for the “Electric Pink” edition showed Cunningham catching a pass, knocking down a midrange jumper, and flipping her hair to showcase her “face card” to the camera.
It’s unclear exactly when the commercial was filmed, but fans were thrilled to see her looking healthy nearly three months after her MCL tear in August, and many expressed excitement.
“That knee seems to be coming along well,” one Instagram comment read.
“Finally dame x sophie shoe!!!!!!!!!! Let’s go 🔥🔥🔥🔥 going to be sold out!!!!!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌,” another said.
“These are very SOPHisticated!” another added.
Here are other reactions.
“Just give her a signature shoe,” one said.
“Can we get a Sophie Cunningham player edition in Black? I would buy that,” another commented.
“Its not the electric pink anymore, its the Dame X Sophie 🔥🔥🔥,” another added.
Cunningham had also appeared in an earlier Dame X commercial in July, where she shared the spotlight with Las Vegas Aces star Chelsea Gray.
Sophie Cunningham reveals hard part of offseason recovery
Sophie Cunningham’s offseason focus is rehabbing her MCL tear as she prepares to play a major role for the Indiana Fever in the 2026 WNBA season. Her 2025 season was cut short, though the Fever mounted a strong playoff run that pushed eventual champions Las Vegas Aces to the brink.
During her rehab, she said she’s become more mindful of her diet, noticing sensitivities to pork, beef and high-gluten foods.
“The ones I really am like worried about is the dairy and gluten,” she said. “I’m not kidding, that’s in every meal that I eat. I put cheese on everything. It’s like one of my favorite things. So, maybe that’s what’s wrong with me. I don’t know. But maybe I really am about to get fit and live my best life.
“And I know they make gluten-free stuff, but that s**t tastes weird to me. I can still eat chicken, though. That’s good. … I feel like I’m kind of turning into a rabbit. So, I don’t know. guess I’m going to turn into a Victoria’s Secret model. Call me Angel Reese.”
Recovering from a severe MCL tear typically takes six weeks or longer.
