Incline Village residents urged to boil water due to potential contamination risk

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Incline Village officials are urging residents to boil water before using it due to potential contamination from a leak.

The leak is in in the Tyner/Lariat Circle area.

Authorities say the loss of pressure that could result in contamination of drinking water. Residents are told to boil their water three minutes before using it. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice. Inadequately treated water may contain disease-causing organisms.

Crews are working to facilitate the repair. Authorities say they anticipate resolving the problem by Nov. 6.
