Just weeks after lopping off several inches of her chest-length, long brown hair, Eva Longoria is going back under the scissors for an even shorter chop. The Only Murders in the Building actress had fans doing a double take as she brought back her Desperate Housewives-era bob on Tuesday, courtesy of the handwork of celebrity stylist Ken Paves.
Longoria debuted her shortest hair in two years after spending some time in Paves’s chair mid-week. In a video shared on November 4, the makeup-free star could be seen with her collarbone-length dark brown hair—a recent chop she first showed off at the Academy Museum Gala on October 18—styled in a wet, middle-parted style. She wore a black barber cape as she took a selfie video, showing Paves working his hairstylist magic. After a brief cameo from her son Santiago Enrique Bastón, 7, whom she shares with husband José Antonio “Pepe” Bastón, and several anticipatory faces, Longoria unveiled her new shoulder-length bob—a seeming nod to her beloved character Gabrielle Solis.

Paves gave Longoria’s new haircut a Y2K-approved styling, parting it to the side and adding textured mermaid waves that emphasized her copper-colored highlights. “When @kenpaves comes over🤭✂️,” she wrote showing off her final results while wearing a plunging black bathrobe styled off her shoulders and a dainty gold pendant necklace.

The actress memorably got a bob haircut almost exactly two years ago while attending the 2023 Academy Women’s Luncheon. At the annual Chanel-hosted event, Longoria showed off a middle-parted layered bob that hit several inches below her chin. The star embraced classic Chanel patterns in a black-and-white checkered tweed jacket, which she wore over a black long-sleeved sequined top and high-waisted navy blue slacks. Red lipstick, a black Chanel handbag, and silver multi-layered necklaces and earrings with the designer’s logo finished off her look.
