Pin High (27229 Wolf Rd.), a new golf simulator facility in Bay Village, will open Friday, November 7, just in time for the indoor golf season in Northeast Ohio. The new entertainment complex comes from Dan Deagan, who partnered with his large group of golfing buddies to fill a gap in the community.
Over the past year and a half, the former Bay Lanes bowling alley was transformed into a bright, spacious facility with a dozen high-tech golf bays, a full bar and game room. Each bay has its own four-seat counter, TV for sports viewing, and a mini-fridge that comes pre-stocked with beverages that are ordered ahead of time online.
A more upscale space in the rear of the facility features four well-appointed bays and plenty of seating for larger groups.
All bays utilize Foresight Falcon systems that can access 50 of the best golf courses around the world. More courses will be added down the road. Golfers can hit the driving range, play 9- or 18-hole rounds, or analyze their swings. Bays are rented by the hour.
In addition to the golf bays, Pin High has a check-in desk, merchandise area, bag drop and kid-friendly game room that is located away from the bar and bays.
“Bay Village is a very family-oriented community,” Deagan explains. “While the parents are golfing, it gives the kids a place to run around and play.”
To eat, there will be pizzas delivered from Wolf & Co., Deagan’s wine bar located in the same plaza. In the coming weeks or months, a concession-style stand will offer hot dogs, sausages and brats.
While indoor golf is primarily a seasonal activity, golfers use the technology year-round to stay sharp or simply save time and money. By combining the golf with a spacious bar – a rarity in Bay Village in its own right – Deagan envisions plenty of business. Events like leagues, lessons from pros, and private parties will help fill the schedule.
“We also want to be a place where you can come to get a snack and some drinks and watch sporting events,” adds Deagan.
Pin High will be open all day seven days a week.
