She’s lurking.

Remember: the next time you’re beefing in the TikTok comments with @user6748473892747, that could be Jennifer Lawrence. During an interview with Fandango ahead of Die, My Love, JLaw said she has a “secret life on TikTok.” And she’s no mere lurker. “I get in fights on TikTok,” she told Robert Pattinson. “I get in fights in the comment section.”
Gotta say, this 100 percent tracks for Lawrence. Her aggro Bravo fandom is well known. JLaw calls ‘em like she sees ‘em. But Lawrence does encounter a lot of pushback on the app. “One girl was like, ‘How old are you? Get a life,’” she said, before falling into a fit of laughter. “It started off with Real Housewives kind of, like, fights, back and forth, Kardashians, that kind of thing,” she said. “And then it got really intense when I started commenting on the Royal Family.” Again, this tracks for TikTok. The app devolves into U.S. vs. U.K. at a disturbing rate — usually over food, but occasionally over public figures like Meghan Markle. But usually it’s about British Chinese food and why does it look like that.
Lawrence’s TikTok beef came from a discussion of the late Queen Elizabeth II. “A lot of people just did not know that the Mountbattens, Queen Elizabeth II, is married to her first cousin. It just is. That’s just a fact. They are cousins,” she said. “And people were thinking that I was, like, trashing them, and I’m like, ‘I’m not! This is just a fact.’ And it was also that in the 40s, it would have been normal.” Small fact check: the Mountbattens were (rip) third cousins, not first. And marrying one’s cousin wasn’t “normal” in the 40s, but it was extremely common for all the royal families of Europe, who were connected to Queen Victoria one way or another.
