Florida State has landed a commitment from four-star composite linebacker Gregory Batson, a 2027 prospect out of Lee County (Ga.).
The 6-foot-1, 208-pounder has been a frequent visitor at FSU this year, calling the Seminoles the leader in his recruitment after watching them beat Alabama in week one of the college football season.
He also held scholarship offers from Florida, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
As a junior this fall, Batson is credited with 48 total tackles, four for loss, a sack and an interception per MaxPreps.
Batson becomes the first linebacker to join FSU’s 2027 class, which now holds five commitments.
247Sports ranks Batson as the No. 17 linebacker nationally and the 247Sports Composite slots him as the No. 324 overall prospect and No. 23 linebacker in the class.
