The 26-year-old turned down interest from other clubs in the summer to secure a move to Old Trafford.

Now, after 11 games in a Red shirt, Mbeumo has been voted Premier League Player of the Month for his impressive performances in October.

The Cameroon international has also scored five goals in his first 11 matches as a United player.

Mbeumo will be aiming to add to his tally when he takes on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon, despite former manager Thomas Frank singing the forward’s praises before the match.

There is no denying that Mbeumo has hit the ground running at United.

It didn’t take the former Brentford ace long to become one of United’s main attacking threats.

Judging by the opinions shared by United’s first team members, it sounds like Mbeumo has quickly become a popular figure in the dressing room.

United’s latest TikTok challenge sees several United players describe Mbeumo with one word.

However, Leny Yoro bent the rules a little by using two words: “Big player.”

This proves that Mbeumo is already considered a key player by his teammates, and one they can rely on to win football matches.

Patrick Dorgu praised Mbeumo for being “clinical”, while others praised his strength and wow factor.

Mbeumo simply described himself as being “kind” when asked on his arrival at Carrington.

United players have won the Premier League Player of the Month more times than any other club.

In fact, United now have at least five more winners than any other club after Mbeumo’s latest individual triumph.

Paul Ince was the first United player to win the monthly award, and he was soon followed by the likes of Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Andy Cole.

Hopefully, it’s not too long before Matheus Cunha gets his hands on the award.
