The under fire front man got the team from the wrong side of the street ahead of trip to Dens Park

Youssef Chermiti just can’t catch a break since joining Rangers and now the under fire front man has got his Dundee teams mixed up.

The £8million summer signing from Everton has almost become a symbol of how badly Kevin Thelwell’s stint as sporting director is going since arriving from Goodison in the summer.

A £30million summer spend has made the Ibrox squad even weaker than last term with fans calling for Thelwell – who has appointed son Robbie as head of recruitment – to be shown the door along with CEO Patrick Stewart.

Chermiti’s paltry goal return since Gers splashed big cash on the Portuguese U21 international is only highlighting the lack of smart spending, despite Toffees legend Duncan Ferguson going to bat for him.

And now he’s even fluffed his lines on social media.

Individual graphics on their personal accounts have become a pre-match staple for stars these days, or at least those who take care of that sort of thing for them.

And Chermiti’s Instagram gaffe ahead of today’s trip to Dens Park to face Dundee hasn’t gone unnoticed.

He’s not the first to do it and won’t be the last, but the hapless hitman has posted a stylised image of himself with the match details, only with Dundee United’s badge front and centre.
