QB Nicco Marchiol:

Marchiol decommitted from FSU after the Seminoles took a commitment from QB AJ Duffy in the same class. He ended up at West Virginia and has played in a limited role over several seasons. He was their starting quarterback to begin the 2025 season but suffered an injury that will cause him to medically redshirt this season before entering the transfer portal in January.

QB Chad Mascoe:

Mascoe was a Willie Taggart recruit who departed FSU’s 2022 class before landing at Campbell. He played in 10 games during his three seasons there before transferring to Oklahoma Baptist ahead of this season. He’s the starter for the ODU Bison in 2025.

WR Quincey McAdoo:

McAdoo, an Arkansas native, flipped to the Razorbacks as a prep recruit. He transitioned from wide receiver to defensive back in his first season of college football and earned freshman All-SEC honors. However, he had to medically retire from football before the next season after being involved in a car accident in which he suffered a spine injury.

WR Bugs Mortimer:

Mortimer flipped from FSU to Louisville on Signing Day. However, he never made it to campus with the Cardinals after he was charged with felony battery a few months after signing day. He eventually pleaded no-contest to a misdemeanor charge — but his spot at UL was no longer available. He landed at Louisiana Monroe and was there for two seasons before transferring to Stephen F. Austin in 2024. He’s had minimal production at both schools.

OL Aliou Bah:

Bah flipped to Georgia out of high school and after a season as a reserve offensive lineman for the Bulldogs, he transferred out for more playing time. He landed at Maryland and has been their starting right guard for the past two seasons. He has a 59.2 PFF grade in 2025.

DE Nyjalik Kelly:

Kelly, high school teammates with Mortimer, had an eventful recruitment with him eventually flipping to Miami once the Hurricanes brought in head coach Mario Cristobal. He would play sparingly in his two seasons at UM before transferring out for a bigger role ahead of the 2024 season. He landed at UCF and has turned in two solid seasons with the Knights as a starting defensive end.

DE Trevion Williams:

Williams, a Mississippi native, flipped to Mississippi State. The former blue-chip recruit has played in a rotational role for much of his career as a Bulldog but has started at defensive end for them over their last several games.

LB Melvin Jordan:

Jordan originally committed to FSU under Willie Taggart before decommitting a few months after Norvell arrived in Tallahassee. He landed at Oregon State and started for the Beavers in his second season. He transferred to Georgia Tech and is now a rotational linebacker for the Yellow Jackets.

DB Travis Hunter:

Hunter’s flip to Jackson State is one of, if not the most notable commitment flip in recruiting history. It happened on Signing Day, catching FSU by surprise the morning of. He had success at Jackson State before transferring to Colorado alongside head coach Deion Sanders. Following two impressive seasons in Boulder, Hunter entered the NFL Draft and was selected second overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was playing quality snaps on both sides of the ball for the Jags before suffering an injury that will sideline him for weeks.
