One person has died after a shooting involving police in rural Adams County on Friday evening.The shooting happened in Manchester, at a property in the 4100 block of Ohio Brush Creek Road.According to OSP, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a person concerned for their safety, resulting in a chase.After the chase, a shooting involving police happened on Ohio Brush Creek Road, around 5 p.m. OSP said a person came out of the home with a firearm and the shooting occurred. It’s not clear if that person fired shots. OSP said the person who came out of the house with a firearm died at the scene.Sources confirmed to WLWT’s Sheree Paolello that the shooting happened on the Lindner family’s farm and involved a member of Carl Lindner’s family.According to police, the family member shot by police has been involved in a domestic situation that has been developing over the last few weeks. The person involved in the shooting was recently served a protective order.Police have not released the identity of the person who died.The shooting involved officers from the West Union Police Department and troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.The incident is under investigation by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation.OSP said there is no threat to the public.
