Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, is calling on fans to help a friend in need.
The Kansas City Chiefs WAG took to Instagram to issue a plea on behalf of the neighbors of her NFL star husband’s pals, after they suffered the devastating tragedy of having their home ruined due to a fire.
On Thursday, Nov. 13, the mom-of-three asked her social media followers to consider donating money to the family via a GoFundMe fundraiser set up for them. “Hi guys, a friend of ours’ neighbor just lost their home to a fire! If you feel inclined to help please do. A little goes a long way in times like these so anything helps!” Brittany wrote via Instagram Stories, per DailyMail.

“On Tuesday evening, my brother’s family experienced a devastating house fire that has completely turned their world upside down,” an explanation on the fundraiser reads. It further details what happened during the incident, adding that a s’mores maker was to blame for initially fueling the flames.
“While Brian and Jen stepped out briefly to return their food truck just a couple of miles away, the kids — Brayden (almost 12), Maddox (9), and Rowan (7) — were at home. Brayden and Maddox had made s’mores using their s’mores maker, and thinking it was safe to put away, Brayden placed it in the pantry while it was still hot and covered with plastic. Within minutes, it ignited,” it added of the horrifying situation.
With three children of their own—daughters Sterling and Golden, and son, Bronze—the Mahomes can likely only imagine the heartbreaking and helpless feeling of losing a home.
As for the star quarterback, he has been spending time with his loved ones during the Chiefs’ bye week last weekend.
Patrick returns to the field for a game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Nov. 16.
