Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill made an unusual update to his Instagram profile on Friday.

Hill changed his Instagram bio to “Unemployed.”

CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones reported Oct. 4 that the Dolphins were expected to release Hill before the start of the next league year in March 2026.

Hill could also be channeling former Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison, who similarly updated his Instagram bio to “Unemployed” after the team fired him on Tuesday.

The eight-time Pro Bowler is currently recovering from a season-ending knee injury that he suffered during Miami’s 27-21 victory over the New York Jets on Sept. 29.

Hill has one season remaining on a a three-year, $90 million contract that he signed with the Dolphins in Aug. 2024.

The 31-year-old also revealed that retirement has crossed his mind after sustaining the knee injury.

Prior to Hill’s early exit against New York, he hauled in 21 receptions for 265 yards and one touchdown in four appearances. His average of 66.3 yards per game through the air represented his second-lowest mark since his rookie season.

Still, he’s only two years removed from a 2023 campaign in which he led the NFL with 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns on 119 catches.

The Dolphins sit at just 3-7 this season, but have won two of their past three games and are coming off an impressive 30-13 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 10.
