CNN was compelled to interrupt its live news broadcast to deliver breaking news about Donald Trump – and the update spells trouble for the Republican frontrunner.
The news network delivered a devastating report on the politician’s approval numbers in a fresh poll, which showed he had plummeted 39 points when Americans were questioned about his management of the Epstein situation during his presidency.
Just days ago, thousands of court filings from disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein were made public, naming multiple high-profile individuals, including Donald Trump, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and Peter Mandelson.
House Oversight Committee Democrats released three email threads containing messages between the convicted pedophile, who passed away behind bars in 2019, and his longtime associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently imprisoned for 20 years on sex trafficking charges.

The lawmakers also disclosed correspondence between Epstein and writer Michael Wolff, who has subsequently penned multiple volumes about the US president.
Within hours, the White House issued a massive document dump to rebut the Democrats’ revelations, which they argued were “selectively leaked” to “create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt maintained: “The fact that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club decades ago for being a creep to his female employees, including Giuffre.”, reports the Express.
However, it appears that Trump’s reaction to the leak hasn’t resonated well with voters in CNN’s latest poll. Senior Data Analyst Harry Enten informed viewers: “Donald Trump is basically underwater on every single issue he ran on in 2024, but the Epstein Files are especially dreadful for him.
“Let’s take a look at Trump’s net approval rating. They’re all in the negative territory, but look at the Epstein Case. He is 39 points below water on the Epstein Case. Donald Trump has been selling on the Epstein Case, but simply put, the American people have not been buying it at all.”

Trump and Epstein maintained a friendship for years, though the former president maintains they lost touch in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein’s initial arrest for sex trafficking. Trump has repeatedly rejected any allegations of misconduct regarding his association with Epstein.
However, he’s not the sole individual entangled in this controversy, as the files also reference Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former Prince Andrew. The scandal-hit Royal has consistently rejected all allegations and hasn’t been charged with any crimes.
Annie Farmer, among Epstein’s accusers and a crucial witness in Maxwell’s sex trafficking case, issued a statement following the document release. It stated: “The more information that comes out about Jeffrey Epstein, the more questions we’re left with. Survivors deserve more than a trickle of information.”
She also called for the “full release” of the complete Epstein files, arguing that “the estimated one thousand women and girls who were harmed by Epstein and his associates deserve full transparency.”
