A Fort Myers Police officer was struck by a vehicle during a traffic stop at Colonial Boulevard and Treeline Avenue, and the department is now asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect.The driver, identified as 21-year-old Michaei Tion Archibald, fled from the traffic stop in a black 2019 Chevrolet Corvette with Florida tag DJ78TI after hitting the officer with his vehicle around 7:40 p.m. The officer is currently in stable condition, and the Fort Myers Police Department extends its thoughts and prayers to the officer and their family as they continue healing.FMPD said Archibald remains at large.
