Keith’s note: This note was just sent to NASA employees by Vanessa Wyche: Leadership Announcement: OLIA: I am happy to share Joel Graham has joined NASA as the associate administrator for the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs at NASA Headquarters in Washington. In this role, Joel will lead and coordinate all communications with the U.S. Congress and serve as a senior advisor to agency leadership on legislative matters.
Joel brings more than 15 years of experience in both government and the private sector, with a strong track record of shaping and advancing policy through the legislative process. Prior to joining NASA, Joel was a partner at the law firm of Meeks, Butera and Israel, where he counseled clients on complex aerospace and defense issues.
Previously, Joel served as a professional staff member for the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation under Chairman Roger Wicker. In this role, he advanced American leadership in space exploration and science by overseeing federal agencies and shaping national space policy. Before working on the committee, Joel served as counsel to Senator David Perdue of Georgia. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgia College and earned his law degree from Mercer University School of Law.
