A nearly disastrous sequence of events for the Raiders there.
Michael Mayer is tackled right at the line to gain just inside Cowboys territory, but the Raiders’ tight end is ruled just short. That sets up a third-and-1 that becomes a third-and-6 after a false start. A pass to Brock Bowers gets the penalty yardage back but sets up fourth-and-1.
After an injury timeout, though, Ashon Jeanty gets just enough on a pitch play to move the chains and keep Las Vegas’ faint comeback hopes alive.
