Following an impressive game where Missouri dominated both in the run game and defensively, the Tigers picked up their 22nd commit of the 2026 recruiting class in four star defensive back Jayden McGregory.

McGregory, who was committed to Louisville, announced his flip on Wednesday afternoon.

Missouri was in the hunt for McGregory prior to his commitment to Louisville, but the second time is the charm as he announced his flip. McGregory is the sixth highest rated recruit in Missouri’s Class of 2026 according to 247Sports — and fifth highest on Rivals — and will look to be a strong addition to the already strong class.

McGregory joins 21 other Tigers as Mizzou’s 2026 recruiting class is officially turn around. The Tigers’ class was ranked outside of the top 80 in 247Sport’s team rankings and is now ranked in the top 30 with the new additions. He joins Ahmod Billins, Tony Forney, Brody Jones and Carter Stewart as the fifth defensive back in the recruiting class.

McGregory plays on both sides of the ball and similar to most of the Mizzou commits, he’s lights out. He shows the ability to hawk down passes and focuses more on breaking them up than catching. On offense, he’s agile, quick and gets open. He also has a solid vertical. He will be a super solid addition if he can translate his game.
