October wrapped up for the U.S. gaming market under the banner of Battlefield 6, according to data from the analytics company Circana.
Battlefield 6
As calculated by Circana analyst Mat Piscatella, within a month, U.S. residents spent more on Battlefield 6 than on any other game in the series throughout its existence. Previously, the box office record was held by Battlefield 1.
Thanks to high demand, Battlefield 6 topped the best-selling games list in the U.S. not only for October but also for the incomplete year of 2025.
Other data from Piscatella’s October report:
In total, the American gaming market earned $4.88 billion in October — a 3% increase compared to last year;
Game sales revenue in the U.S. rose by 1% to $4.36 billion;
Console sales revenue in the U.S. increased by 36% to $351 million. The month’s best-seller was once again the Nintendo Switch 2, which Americans purchased 328 thousand times in October;
Revenue from gaming accessories sales fell by 7% to $176 million.
