Sara Haines reportedly had a “nervous breakdown” on The View set after Oz Pearlman revealed her PIN on air.”She started crying,” Joy Behar said, later calling it “rage crying” because she was so mad.Haines said Pearlman committed a “betrayal” and alleged that he promised not to reveal it on air before the show.
In the aftermath of mentalist Oz Pearlman correctly predicting and subsequently verbally revealing her ATM PIN on national television earlier this week, The View cohost Sara Haines had a “nervous breakdown” on the set of the talk show.
Joy Behar brought up the moment, which occurred Tuesday on the program, on Thursday’s live show, and revealed that Haines “had a nervous breakdown, she started crying” after Pearlman correctly identified the number during the broadcast, which led to Haines asking, “What the f—?” immediately after.
“He told me, ‘We would never talk about your real PIN number on the air,’ 40 minutes before [the broadcast], so he asked me to come up with a fake PIN number, because of course he wouldn’t say my real PIN Number,” Haines alleged in response, referencing the bit Pearlman engaged her on, which saw her write down a four-digit fake PIN on a cue card, with Pearlman being tasked with identifying that number, too. “So, that was a little bit of a betrayal.”

Behar again observed that Haines engaged in “what I call rage crying, because you were so annoyed and angry, tears were flowing.”
Haines elaborated, saying that guests “are entrusted to us,” and again alleged that Pearlman “met with me and said, ‘We’d never use your real PIN number, so why don’t we come up with a fake one?’ And then he did that.”
She further alleged that, across the last decade of welcoming psychics, mentalists, and impressionists to the show, Pearlman is the “only one” whom has “met with us 40 minutes before” the broadcast.
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to Pearlman for comment. The mentalist previously did not respond to EW’s multiple requests for a reaction to Tuesday’s show.
After the live show earlier this week, The View subsequently removed Pearlman’s reveal of Haines’ real four-digit PIN code upon uploading the full episode to YouTube and in clips from the moment that appeared online.
“Why would you say it on national television?” Haines asked at the time, chastising Pearlman as her mouth hung open for the rest of the segment. She later mouthed, “That’s my PIN” to an off-camera crew member.
