EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea Peretti (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) is the newest addition to the cast of Cut Off, Jonah Hill’s comedy for Warner Bros. Pictures, where he stars opposite Kristen Wiig.
No word on the role Peretti is playing. The film follows a pair of rich siblings (Hill & Wiig) who are cut off from their parents (Bette Midler and Nathan Lane). As previously announced, the cast also includes Adriana Barraza, Camila Cabello and Langston Kerman.
Hill is directing from a script co-written with Ezra Woods, also producing alongside Matt Dines and Ali Goodwin under his Strong Baby banner. Jesse Ehrman and Zach Hamby are overseeing the project for Warner Bros., which has slated it for release in theaters worldwide on July 17.
Peretti was recently most seen on the BBC series Am I Being Unreasonable? and is widely known for playing Gina Linetti on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Recently, she made her feature directorial debut with First Time Female Director, a film premiering at Tribeca that she also wrote and starred in, which was acquired by Roku.
Peretti’s television writing credits include Parks and Recreation, Saturday Night Live, Portlandia, Kroll Show, and The Sarah Silverman Program. Film credits include The Photograph, Friendsgiving, Game Night and Popstar. She created the long-running podcast Call Chelsea Peretti and put out her stand-up special One of the Greats as one of Netflix’s first 10 hourlong releases.
Peretti is represented by CAA, Linden Entertainment and Hansen Jacobson.
