Oscar Piastri sets a time of 1:49.136. So far, no one has managed to match or beat the young Australian’s time. Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris are in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. It looks like the track is getting wet again.
With just under eight minutes remaining, Leclerc sets the first benchmark, but Isack Hadjar snatches the top spot. Now Carlos Sainz posts a time of 1:50.880. Without a doubt, we are witnessing one of the best qualifying sessions of the season.
Ten drivers remain in contention for pole position. Pierre Gasly and both Racing Bulls have performed surprisingly well so far. There are twelve minutes left to complete this qualifying session. What an exciting session!
Nico Hülkenberg, Lance Stroll, Esteban Ocon, Oliver Bearman, and Franco Colapinto are the drivers eliminated in Q2. George Russell is at the top of the standings in this second part of qualifying and is undoubtedly shaping up to be a contender for pole position.
Both Racing Bulls are unstoppable, now it’s Isack Hadjar who is moving into the top positions and this session is proving to be one of the most unpredictable of the calendar so far. Surprisingly, Lance Stroll finds himself in the elimination zone despite having dominated much of the qualifying session.
The Australian McLaren driver is leading the standings for the first time at the Las Vegas Street Circuit. At the moment, he looks better than his teammate, Lando Norris. Alongside him are Max Verstappen and a surprising Liam Lawson in the top three positions.
Compared to Q1, track conditions have improved significantly and lap times are starting to get better. So far, the best performer has been British Mercedes driver George Russell, who is stepping up for the team after Kimi Antonelli’s early elimination.
The middle part of the session begins. Despite being delayed by a few minutes, the track is gradually drying out. The drivers who are still participating line up in the pits again and this time they will only have fifteen minutes to set the best possible time in these conditions.

Aston Martin continues to dominate Q1 in the first five minutes, despite Lance Stroll’s elimination in the first session. Surprisingly, Pierre Gasly and Gabriel Bortoleto are behind. Yellow flags are appearing frequently due to certain mistakes by the drivers.
Aston Martin are the first to set a time, with all drivers on track except George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. The first reference time is just over 2:04.00, while Lando Norris complains of aquaplaning.
The drivers start to come out for the warm-up lap, lining up at the pit lane. Fernando Alonso is the first to analyze the track, which is quite wet. All drivers have intermediate rain tires, except for the Aston Martins, which have full-wet tires.

We’ve reached the end of Friday’s activities! The 20 drivers are getting ready in their respective pits to start qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where the times set in practice indicate that it will be a very close session and possibly one with some big surprises.
With Leclerc spinning and a red flag throughout the session, Lando Norris set the fastest time in the second and final practice of the day. With only 13 laps completed, he managed to set a time of 1:33.602. Kimi Antonelli made headlines with his 2nd place finish, while Charles Leclerc completed the top 3.
With a total of 28 laps at the start of Thursday’s activities, Charles Leclerc set the fastest time with a lap of 1:34.802, followed by Alex Albon, while Yuki Tsunoda surprisingly took third place. What a start of all the weekend!
