The Storm seek fifth title as the Mariners aim to maintain AL West lead.

SEATTLE — It’s a big weekend for Seattle sports fans. The Mariners are battling for the top of their division, while the Storm tip off against the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the 2025 WNBA Playoffs.

Excitement is building at the Storm’s practice facility as the team eyes another championship run. No franchise in Seattle has more trophies than the Storm, and Chief Operating Officer Rohre Titcomb said attendance this season hit a new peak, with fans selling out the final five home games.

“We’ve got four championships and we’re on the hunt for one more,” Titcomb said. “It’s also our 20th time going to the playoffs in franchise history, which I think just speaks to the incredible legacy and championship culture that we have here at the Storm.”

Confidence is high heading into a three-game matchup against top-seeded Las Vegas. Game 1 is Sunday, with a second game set for Tuesday at Climate Pledge Arena.

Fans can celebrate with a free official watch party at Tom’s Watch Bar on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. PT. The event will feature DJ Miss M, raffle giveaways, photo ops with team mascot Doppler, and exclusive 2025 playoff T-shirts.

Meanwhile, the Mariners are keeping fans on edge as they push for the postseason. Rookie Harry Ford drove in the game-winning run in extra innings Thursday night, helping Seattle stay tied for the top spot in the division.

Lifelong fan Chris Rivera flew in to catch a full slate of games this weekend.

“We’re on fire, bro. We’re lit,” Rivera said.
