Viewers who watch NBC 10, ABC6 over the air will need to rescan their TV sets

Viewers who watch NBC 10 and ABC6 over-the-air with an antenna will need to rescan their television sets on Dec. 1.

The channel lineups of WJAR and WLNE will be changing on Dec. 1.

NBC 10 newscasts and NBC network programming will remain on Channel 10.1. ABC programming will move to Channel 10.2.

Viewers of ABC may see improved reception because of WJAR’s stronger over-the-air signal.

This chart shows the new over-the-air channel lineups for WJAR and WLNE, starting Dec. 1.

Check your television set’s menu to find the rescan function. It may take several minutes for your television to complete a scan. Remember to rescan on or after Dec. 1.

No action is necessary if you watch WJAR or WLNE on a cable, satellite, broadband or streaming service provider.
