EXCLUSIVE: Chloë Sevigny has joined the cast of electronic duo Boy Harsher‘s directorial debut The Lonely Woman, which has wrapped filming in Upstate New York with plans for a 2026 premiere.

Written and directed by Boy Harsher (Augustus Muller and Jae Matthews), the immersive film from Spacemaker and Base 12, in association with Good Bath, is described as a “bleak, sensual and atmospheric horror-thriller,” featuring on-screen performances from musicians FKA Twigs, Sturgill Simpson and Will Oldham, as well as Jake Weary.

Set in rural New England, The Lonely Woman follows a woman marked by her first love’s death in a mountain tunnel. Drawn into the mystery of a new disappearance, she finds herself confronting a seductive and terrifying presence buried beneath the town.

Featuring a score composed by Boy Harsher in their signature synth-based sound, the creative team includes director of photography Hunter Zimny (Giants Being Lonely, The Scary of Sixty-First) and production designer Madeline Sadowski (Good Time, Chappel Roan’s ‘The Subway’).

Producers include Alex Hughes for Spacemaker, Craig Butta for Base 12 and Bruno Vernaschi-Berman for Good Bath.

Sevigny is represented by WME and Circle M+P; FKA Twigs by UTA; and Simpson by Paradigm.
