Chicago Sky star Angel Reese gave a shoutout to pop icon Ciara, who was the latest guest on the “Unapologetically Angel” podcast. The two women discussed a variety of topics, including empowerment and being “multi-hyphenated queens.”
In a post on her Instagram stories, Reese shared a snippet from Ciara’s appearance on her podcast. The “This Right Here” artist opened up about how important it was to be empowered by knowing it’s alright to excel in multiple industries.
“I love Ciara so much. Such an inspiration,” Reese wrote.

Ciara, who is not just a singer but also a model and entrepreneur, told Angel Reese that it’s good to be more than just a basketball player. No one is going to stop her from achieving all the things she wants to accomplish on and off the court.
“I think it’s important to understand how much you’re empowered and to use every gift that God has given you,” Ciara said. “If he’s given you the gift to play ball really well, which he has, and then he’s given you the gift to be able to go and model, that’s another level up.”
The “How We Roll” artist added that there are so many things Reese can do, including being a mother, if she decides to be one someday. Ciara, of course, is married to New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson. They have four children together, including stepson Future Zahir, whose biological father is rapper Future.

It has been a whirlwind of an offseason for Angel Reese, who ended her sophomore year in the WNBA in turmoil with the Chicago Sky. Reese openly criticized the Sky and some of her teammates, which led to a suspension. Her future with the team is up in the air, but the ongoing CBA negotiations have put a stop to rumors for now.
Reese has continued to upload her workouts on social media, though trolls still urge her to work on her layups and finishing. She’s not expected to play pro basketball this offseason, skipping the second season of Unrivaled to recover from a back injury.
Wendell Carter Jr. confirms he’s dating Angel Reese. “That’s the homie for sure. We locked in. Y’all gonna find out when y’all need to find out. We’ll just leave it at that. That’s my girl, though. We locked in for sure.” (Via @RunItBackFDTV / h/t @nypost )
However, the most newsworthy Reese headline over the past month is her relationship with Orlando Magic big man Wendell Carter Jr. After months of speculation and teases from Reese, Carter confirmed their relationship last week.
