Louisville hit 20 three-pointers, the second-most in program history, on its way to a 104-47 rout of NJIT Wednesday night inside the KFC Yum Center.
The overmatched visitors from the America East never put up much of a fight, as U of L raced out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back on a night where they easily covered the most lopsided spread (-44.5) in modern program history.
Ryan Conwell feasted early and often, drilling 8-of-15 shots from three and finishing with 32 points, the most by a Louisville player in a game this season. The senior guard added 9 points and 6 assists for good measure.
Isaac McKneely (17), Adrian Wooley (15) and J’Vonne Hadley (12) all joined Conwell in double figures. That trio also combined to shoot 9-of-15 from beyond the arc.
U of L eclipsed the 100-point mark for the fourth time in seven games this season. Those four appearances in triple digits are already the most by a Cardinal team since the 1989-90 season.
Louisville also won for the 167th consecutive time in a game where the Cards held their opponents to 50 points or fewer.
There’s certainly no question that we’re good, but we get to start the process of finding out just how good we are a week from tonight. The cakewalks are over.
Happy Thanksgiving, y’all.
