ESPN analyst Joey Galloway has made it clear he wants the network to stop showing Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia’s mom in the stands during games.

Pavia’s mom, Antoinette Padilla, has gone viral in recent months with her wild antics in the stands while watching her son play.

Pavia even promised comedian Theo Vonn a date with his mom if they beat South Carolina, which they did 31-7.

But the frequency with which she is appearing on screen has frustrated Galloway, who begged his ESPN colleague Kirk Herbstreit to ask production staff to stop broadcasting her.

He said: ‘Is there a camera on Pavia’s mother the entire game? I’m just wondering.

‘Just a question. Not saying it gets on my nerves. Just asking a question.

‘Can you put in a request… not every play. I love the story. I love the family. Not every play.’

During last week’s game between Vanderbilt and Kentucky, the camera constantly cut to Padilla in the stands.

One particular clip of Padilla, with Vanderbilt winning the game 45-17, showed her dancing and celebrating.

After his standout win against Alabama last year, Pavia explained that Padilla, who raised him as a single mom, always had a ‘winning mentality.’

‘She raised me a winner,’ Pavia said of his mom at the time, according to VandySports.

‘My mom, she hates losing more than she loves winning.’ He added that she came to ’98 per cent’ of his football games.
