My Ruin‘s new track “The Audacity” are set to issue their new album “Declaration Of Resistance” on January 16th through Magick Room Recordings. That husband-and-wife duo remain fronted by Tairrie B., who originally made waves as a protege of rapper Eazy-E, before going on to front nü-metal/rap metal outfit Manhole/Tura Satana. Tairrie and her husband Mick Murphy co-produced this new record. As for this new single, a press release described it as follows:

‘A visceral, full-circle reclamation of power, ‘The Audacity‘ confronts entrenched ageism, sexism, and the double standards still weaponized against women in music, politics and culture. Evoking decades of lived experience, with a testament to surviving in an industry that worships youth, punishes maturity, and fears women who speak with conviction. A tribute to every woman who’s fought through the swords of misogyny designed to diminish her with a love letter to resilience and a celebration of getting older, louder, wiser—and impossible to diminish. More than a continuation, it’s an evolution. With time comes wisdom, but rage has no age.’

My Ruin‘s last album “The Sacred Mood” arrived back in 2013.
