Wisconsin received its first commitment from the transfer portal on Thursday via Grand Valley State defensive lineman Jibriel Conde. On Monday, Conde was no longer a Badger.

According to On3/Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, Conde has flipped his commitment to Kansas. Conde’s agent, Kyle Logan of Delta Sports Group, also provided a statement to Badger Blitz.

“His heart was in Kansas. Just felt like the right decision,” said Logan.

Conde originally chose Wisconsin over Auburn, TCU, Michigan State, Kansas, Nebraska, West Virginia, and more.

“What really pushed me toward Wisconsin was the overall feeling that I fit there,” Conde told Badger Blitz. “The coaches showed a lot of belief in me, and the way they develop their players stood out. The energy around the program was real, and everyone I met was genuine. It felt like a place where I could grow on and off the field, and that made the decision easy.”

During his sophomore season, Conde recorded 30.0 tackles, 6.5 for loss, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and two pass breakups. Wisconsin is still looking for help along its defensive front, which is only set to return junior Charles Perkins and sophomore Dillan Johnson among its notable rotational players.

Without Conde, the Badgers are down to one commitment from the transfer portal — linebacker/edge rusher Taylor Schaefer, a junior college prospect out of Iowa Central and a graduate of Southern Door High School.
