It was another busy—and successful—season for Michael Kim, who claimed the French Open in September and recorded four top 10s on the PGA Tour. But that doesn’t mean the 32-year-old gets recognized a lot. Even when he goes to golf establishments.

Kim was recently on vacation in a cold weather location when he decided to do some speed training. Now, if you’ve ever done speed training, you know that it’s not ideal to do it in cold weather, so Kim went to an indoor golf simulator place.

This totally makes sense because there are high ceilings there to swing a club—or a speed-training aid—and, again, because it’s not freezing so you can actually swing freely without wearing a bunch of layers. However, this did NOT make sense to an employee there. And, thus, the following funny—and awkward—exchange happened.

Classic. Of course, the best part is, “How long have you been playing golf?” with Kim replying, “Uh, like 20 some years.”

The dude is a freaking PGA Tour winner and one of the top 40 golfers on the planet! Not to mention the darling of Golf Twitter. And even if this employee didn’t realize that, you’d think he’d understand why someone would want to get a speed-training sesh in—especially as a fellow “pro.”

Anyway, good job by Michael not pulling a “Do you know who I am?” move. And we’re guessing that 10 bucks was worth it for the story alone.
