This morning around 11 a.m., the Office of the President sent out an email announcing that Eastern University settled a deal with Valley Forge Military Academy & College (VFMAC) to purchase a portion of the VFMAC property.
“This expansion isn’t just a new addition to our campus; it’s the creation of new opportunities for students to live, connect, and thrive as a community,” President Ronald Matthews said in the email. “As Eastern continues to grow, this expansion ensures we have the room to support that growth while maintaining the close-knit, Christ-centered environment that makes our community so special.”
The 33-acre expansion will officially add the shared football stadium, track and fieldhouse that the Athletics department has been using to Eastern’s campus, as well as adding five new apartment buildings and 16 pickleball courts.
“As we continue to celebrate Eastern’s Centennial year, this exciting milestone represents both gratitude for God’s faithfulness over the past 100 years and our commitment to a thriving century ahead,” Matthews said in the email’s closing.
We are excited for the new expansion and look forward to hearing more details about what the new space will provide. Stay tuned for more updates from the Eastern community about the expansion!
