Brody Mix 100.7 WMTX TampaAfter six years in mornings at iHeartMedia AC “Mix 100.7” WMTX Tampa, Nathan ‘Brody’ Halegua has exited the station.

Brody joined WMTX in April 2019 to co-host mornings with Laura Diaz. He has been anchoring the timeslot solo since Diaz resigned in September for a position outside the industry. He spent eleven years total at the iHeartMedia Tampa cluster hosting nights at CHR 93.3 WFLZ from 2014 until his move to WMTX. He has also held on-air roles at WFKS Jacksonville, WJHM Orlando, WKSS Hartford, WXXL Orlando, and KUPL Portland.

He wrote on Instagram, “Hanging up the headphones for a bit. My chapter at Mix has come to an end, and my heart is full as I look back on this (almost) six-year record breaking journey. To my incredible listeners and partners, thank you. You showed up for me every morning, and I can’t tell you how much that support, laughter, and loyalty has meant. You invited me into your homes, your cars, and your routines, a privilege I’ll never take for granted.

I hope I brought a smile, a moment of connection, or a little fun to your mornings because you certainly did that for me. You made every early alarm worth it, and I’ll always carry that with me.

This isn’t the ending I pictured, and it’s not easy to say goodbye. But I’m leaving with gratitude for the opportunities given to me, pride in the work I’ve done, and a strong sense of my worth. I’ve grown in ways I never expected, both personally and professionally, and I’m confident I’ll land exactly where I’m meant to be next. Everything happens for a reason… and I know this is just the start of a new chapter.”

WMTX has not announced its plans for mornings yet, but a former Tampa area morning show is teasing a return to the market with an announcement on Thursday morning at 8am.
