Olivia Nuzzi resurfaced for a solo hike in Los Angeles Tuesday — after complaining about being followed by the paparazzi that same day.
According to exclusive photos obtained by Page Six, the Vanity Fair editor looked solemn as she enjoyed the outdoors by herself during the outdoor photo shoot.
After a brief hike, she then took off in a white Ford Mustang.

For the outing, Nuzzi, 32, sported black leggings and a matching long-sleeved top, hiking boots and a pair of black sunglasses.
The outing was the first time the journalist, who made headlines for her sexting scandal with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., had been spotted since her newly released memoir, “American Canto,” was slammed by critics.
Although the book’s description stated that it was not a tell-all or memoir but rather “a powerful personal history,” the Atlantic’s Helen Lewis slammed the tome as a “tell-nothing memoir.”

The New York Times headlined their review, “Olivia Nuzzi’s Memoir Is Self-Serious and Altogether Disappointing,” while the Washington Post called the book “highly uneven and largely forgettable.”
In response to the scathing reviews, Nuzzi took to her Instagram, sharing a list under a post titled, “Signs Your Book Rollout Has Gone Awry,” which included bullets about the paparazzi following her.
“A paparazzo attempting once again to convince you that your privacy depends somehow on allowing him to violate your privacy adds an ominous kicker to his overture: ‘This never ends,’” she wrote.

“Monica Lewinsky reached out to check on your mental health,” another one of the signs that was listed read, referring to the former White House intern who infamously made headlines for having an affair with then-President Bill Clinton.
“You consider falsifying email correspondence between yourself and [late convicted sex offender] Jeffrey Epstein in order to improve your press coverage,” read a third bullet.
Another sign read: “Multiple people suggest you ‘pivot to screenwriting.’”

The following month, the former New York Magazine correspondent filed for a no-contact order against her then-fiancé Ryan Lizza. He fired back, telling a court in October 2024 that he discovered “Nuzzi had been cheating on me with a married man [RFK Jr.] for almost a year.”
As a result, Nuzzi was suspended and then fired from her position at New York Magazine, with the news outlet announcing that her actions were a “violation of the magazine’s standards around conflicts of interest and disclosures.”
