Wrexham have added a third signing in less than a week, having secured the services of free agent forward Josh Windass on Wednesday.

Perhaps it was a good idea for Wrexham to move away from the ‘contract printer’.

Wrexham’s signings from last summer were announced through an HP printer, with fans flocking to YouTube in order to see whose face would appear.

That printer would have been running hot if Wrexham kept the same announcement style this summer.

Phil Parkinson has now made three signings in less than a week, with more to come as Lewis O’Brien nears a move to the STōK Cae Ras.

Liberato Cacace joined last Friday, George Thomason became a Wrexham player on Monday, and Josh Windass finalised his move on Wednesday.

Windass left Sheffield Wednesday last week, ripping up his contract with the Owls amid issues over non-payment of wages.

The 31-year-old hasn’t been a free agent for long, with Wrexham securing his signature on a three-year deal.

Wrexham fans are excited to see Windass join, and he will offer a proven source of Championship goals.

Windass’s mother also appears to be impressed, having taken to social media to comment on her son’s move to Wrexham.

Helen France has taken to X to admit being impressed by Wrexham’s setup as well as the STōK Cae Ras, adding that Windass’s move is ‘exciting stuff’.

‘What a great family day we all had yesterday. I was impressed by the set up and the ground. Exciting stuff,’ she said.

Dean Windass on Josh Windass move

Many Wrexham fans will know of Windass’s father, with Dean Windass a former Premier League striker.

Windass senior fired Hull City to promotion in 2008, having previously turned out for the likes of Bradford City and Middlesbrough.

After Wrexham confirmed the signing of Windass, his father took to X to simply post ‘that’s my boy’.

That’s my boy 🔥⚽️
