AMC Networks has hired former Peacock executive Annie Luo to drive the growth of its streaming services.
Luo, who left the NBCUniversal streamer in September, has joined as President, Streaming Growth. She will oversee development and execution of the company’s streaming strategy, including driving subscriber acquisition and engagement, activating commercial and programming strategies and identifying new business opportunities.
Based in New York, she reports to AMC Networks Chief Commercial Officer Kim Kelleher
AMC Networks operates AMC+ as well as cozy crime service Acorn TV, horror streamer Shudder, anime platform HIDIVE and Sundance Now, Allblk and All Reality.
At Peacock, Luo was EVP, Head of Global Partnerships & Strategic Development and managed its deals with Xfinity, Instacart and JetBlue. Before that, she was SVP, Business Development, Strategy & Operations for Hulu and worked at McKinsey & Company, the World Economic Forum, BBC Worldwide, CNBC and Bloomberg Television.
