Florida State junior defensive lineman Tyeland Coleman is departing the program after one season via the NCAA Transfer Portal, he tells Noles247.com.
Coleman arrived at FSU prior to the 2025 season via the junior college route, signing with FSU out of Northwest Mississippi C.C.
The Terry, Miss. native appeared in three games this season. He recorded a pair of tackles, as well as a tackle for loss and a sack. All of his production came against East Texas A&M.
During his sophomore season in 2024 at Northwest Mississippi C.C., he notched 30 tackles, including 3.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks, with one pass breakup and three quarterback hurries. He had eight tackles in nine games, with 1.0 tackle for loss as freshman.
He was considered the No. 9 prospect in the JUCO rankings by 247Sports.com. He chose FSU over Mississippi State and Illinois, among others.
The NCAA Transfer Portal window is January 2nd to January 16th for players to officially enter from the Division I ranks. Unlike past instances, there is just one transfer portal window in 2026.
