A man is stable after initially being rushed to the hospital in critical condition Tuesday evening with a gunshot wound to his torso. Allegheny County Police said the man was shot during a suspected burglary at his Wilkinsburg home.Allegheny County police’s homicide unit said it happened in the 2200 block of McNary Boulevard just before 8 p.m.When officials arrived on the scene, a man was found with a gunshot wound to the torso. The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.“When I seen that this happened, it was a complete shock,” neighbor Donay Jones said. “I genuinely hope that he’s okay.”Preliminary information shows the victim arrived at his residence and interrupted a burglary occurring inside involving multiple people. Detectives are now investigating and believe there are multiple suspects involved.No arrests had been made as of Wednesday evening.Jones said she’s eager for answers and to feel safe in her neighborhood once again.“I’ve always felt safe. Usually when we see something suspicious, you know, all the neighbors will kind of just, you know, come outside and we’ll say, ‘Hey, did you see something or did you hear something?’ And we’re always just kind of just looking out and watching out for each other,” Jones said. “When I seen that this happened, it was a complete shock,” neighbor Donay Jones said. “I genuinely hope that he’s okay.”
