Fox News interrupted its live broadcast to break the news that famous wrestler and Donald Trump supporter Hulk Hogan has died. He was 71 years old.

According to TMZ, medics were called to the WWE star’s home in Clearwater, Florida, on Thursday morning regarding a “cardiac arrest.” A swarm of police and EMT vehicles was outside the home as he was carried out and put into an ambulance on a stretcher.

Just a few weeks ago, his wife, Sky Daniel, denied that he was in a coma after undergoing a spinal fusion surgery. Hulk, real name Terry Gene Bollea, was a vocal supporter of President Trump. Principal Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields released a short statement on X, formerly Twitter, that read “Rest in Peace, BROTHER.”

Fox News broke the news during Thursday’s Outnumbered, with Harris Faulkner delivering the announcement. “Hulk Hogan was more than just a six-time WWE champion; he was also an accomplished actor, a beloved dad, and husband,” she said.

Harris also praised him for his MAGA stance and for “normalizing politics and being a free American, and say[ing] who you believe in and who you’ll vote for.”

Correspondent Lisa Booth lamented, “It’s sad to see this larger-than-life person dead at such a young age,” adding that his persona harkens back to a “time in our country when ‘men where men.'”

The pundits also joked about showing up to the next segment wearing “red t-shirts and gold glasses” as an homage to the MAGA celeb.

During day 4 of the 2024 Republican National Convention, the former wrestler spoke in support of Trump, wearing a red and yellow boa and waving an American flag as he took the stage. He famously ripped off his shirt to reveal a red Trump-Vance tank top underneath.

Fox News also paid tribute to the late MAGA star by playing his theme song, “Real American.”

The roundtable of correspondents shared their memories and impressions of the late celebrity. Some referred to his wrestling career, while others remembered him as an actor and television personality, describing him as a “father figure.”

The professional wrestler was also the star of the reality show Hogan Knows Best that aired on VH1 starting in 2005, at the heels of the success of The Osbournes, which followed the lives of Ozzy Osbourne and his family. The show focused on the daily lives of him and his ex-wife Linda, as well as his two children, Brooke and Nick.
