A 42-year-old freelancer has now become the world’s first owner of the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold after waiting in a queue for nearly 24 hours in freezing weather.

Samsung launched its first triple-folding smartphone in South Korea on December 12. As per early anecdotes, the Galaxy Z TriFold sold out within minutes of becoming available.

Of course, the smartphone’s limited release and inventory might have played an important role in precipitating this outcome.

According to South Korea’s Money Today, the Galaxy Z TriFold was only sold in 20 stores nationwide. Priced at 3.59 million Korean Won ($2,436), the smartphone is one of the most expensive hand-held devices that Samsung currently retails.
