In May of 2022, Taylor, 31, who is this coming season’s Bachelorette, came forward and admitted to breaking the swinging rules she and her then-husband had established after she had sex with another man without his consent.

The scandal ultimately led to their divorce later that year.

Despite their difficult split, the court awarded them joint legal and physical custody of their children, daughter Indy, 8, and Ocean, 5.

The divorce decree, which was dated August 19, 2022, gave the exes “alternate parenting time with the children every two days,” however, there’s a big catch they both had to agree to.

CUT TO THE CHASE

Shock moment Mormon Wives’ Chase is handcuffed for DUI & drug possession

Both Taylor and her ex, Tate, are “restrained from consuming alcohol on the days they have children,” the court ordered.

The alcohol ban also came just a year before a terrifying incident that resulted in Taylor’s drunken arrest with her new boyfriend.

In February 2023, Taylor was arrested for drunkenly throwing a chair that hit her 5-year-old daughter after going “ballistic” on her then-boyfriend, and current Mormon Wives star, Dakota Mortensen.

In the harrowing body cam footage, the outburst came after Dakota refused to bring Taylor to a concert due to her being far too intoxicated.

Taylor went into a drunken rage, throwing a chair that hit her daughter, Indy, in the head.

In the arrest footage, Taylor can be seen sobbing hysterically and telling police she had peed herself before being detained.

She was later charged with two counts of third degree felony domestic violence in the presence of a child with injury, a Class A misdemeanor of child abuse with injury, and Class B misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Taylor ultimately took responsibility for what she called the “worst night of her life” and pleaded guilty for aggravated assault.

As a result of the guilty plea, she avoided further jail time and was sentenced to three years of probation.

Further, the divorce documents explained what joint legal custody requires for the ex-couple.

Both parties were ordered by the judge to “resolve all issues between them relating to the minor children’s welfare” on their own terms.

“If parties disagree about decisions regarding religion, medical, education, and extracurricular activities after good faith discussion, they may bring the issue to mediation,” the legal documents state.

Tate was also ordered to pay the Mormon Wives star $3,000 per month for child support.

Tate agreed to provide medical insurance for the children and would be solely responsible for their insurance.

They agreed to split the childcare expenses equally,

Neither Tate nor Taylor, who married in 2016, was granted alimony.

They sold their marital home in Utah and divided the assets equally.

After their split, Taylor, who was the founder of the TikTok group, MomTok, moved on with fellow Mormon Wives star, Dakota Mortensen.

Taylor and Dakota share a 1-year-old son, Ever, and have been in an on again off again relationship for some time.

During the Mormon Wives reunion, Dakota stormed off after being confronted over his relationship with another woman.

DAKOTA STORMS OFF

Taylor and Dakota exchanged insults while discussing his sending suggestive texts to an unnamed friend when Taylor was pregnant with Ever two years ago.

Dakota even offered an apology to Taylor’s parents on stage at the reunion, and the apology was completely rejected.

“I can’t accept anything that comes out of your mouth because it’s all bull***t,” Taylor’s father, Jeremy, declared.

Taylor then struck a nerve when she said she regretted choosing Dakota to be Ever’s father.

“This is a lot on me, that I chose him to be his dad,” Taylor stated.

“You don’t think I’m a good dad, Taylor?!” Dakota heatedly responded.

“I will never have anyone tell me I’m not, because I know that with ever single fiber in my heart,” Dakota yelled. “Taylor, you know how much I care about Ever!”

Host Stassi Schroeder intervened to halt the dispute, and Dakota raised his hands in frustration.

“That’s it, I’m done!” he yelled. “Get this fing stupid fing mic off me!”

As he abruptly left the reunion set, a producer shouted: “Folks, we’re not done yet!”

“F**k that, I’m good!” Dakota retorted, tearing off his shirt. “I don’t want anything to do with it!”

A crew member escorted Dakota away from the premises, while the remaining cast members sat motionless on the couch.

Taylor has since moved forward and is currently filming her season of The Bachelorette in Los Angeles and across the country.
