Playing their best basketball of the season, the Dallas Mavericks look for their sixth win in seven games when they visit the Utah Jazz.
The Jazz, who already have nine wins after posting 17 all last year, find themselves as 1.5-point home underdogs in the NBA odds.

Mavericks vs Jazz best bet: Mavericks -1.5 (-110)
After an impressive win over the Houston Rockets, the Dallas Mavericks picked up a 119-111 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.
Dallas’ dynamic frontcourt is carrying this unit, and a finally-healthy Anthony Davis (more on that below) is averaging 20.8 points and 12 rebounds on 50.6% shooting from the field in five December games.
AD is the perfect anchor to let rookie Cooper Flagg develop, and the No. 1 pick has flourished alongside the veteran big, scoring 20.6 points on 55.4% shooting in December.

Still, Davis (calf) is on the injured report as questionable, as is fellow big Daniel Gafford (ankle), while veteran guard D’Angelo Russell (illness) is out.
They’ll be taking on a still-rebuilding Utah Jazz team that’s slowly starting to turn the corner.
The Jazz are just outside the Top 10 in scoring, averaging 118.1 points per game, and they share the rock, tied for the second-most assists per game with 29.7, trailing only the Atlanta Hawks.
But they’ve yet to forge much on a defensive identity, ranking second-last in the league, allowing 125.8 points per game.
Dallas has owned this head-to-head, winning seven of the last 10. While it’s just 5-5-0 against the spread in those games, this line is by far the shortest point spread over this stretch of games, the next closest being 4.5 points.

Because of that low line, I’m confident in betting the spread for better juice on my wager.

Even during their current fun-run, Dallas hasn’t been lighting the scoreboard on fire, cracking the 120-point plateau twice in the last five wins. They’ve also failed to top 120 points in each of the last six head-to-head matchups with Utah.
AD has been dominant against the Jazz in his last three meetings, though – assuming he’s cleared – it will be his first against them as a member of the Mavericks. He’s cruised past his 23.5 scoring line in all three, averaging 32 points on 55.4% shooting.

Davis has done the heavy lifting on the glass, averaging 12 boards and grabbing at least eight every time. Those have eaten into Flagg’s rebounding numbers, as he’s only grabbed seven rebounds in a game once over that same stretch.
Keyonte George is coming off a career-best 39 points last game against Memphis, and is now averaging 22.9 points per game on the year.
He’s scored at least 27 points in eight of his last 12 games.
